Dear Participant and Sponsor:

On June 25^th, 2000 you did more than run/walk in a race. You helped teens and their families in our community that are fighting addiction and working on recovery. Thanks to you Damien’s Run For Recovery was a great success. Participants again verbalized positive comments about the commitment and generosity of the sponsors. Support like yours made it possible to begin to make a difference in the lives of teens that suffer from substance abuse. This year we raised $10,000 from race proceeds plus $3,000 of matching funds for a total of $13,000. Funds will be distributed to the Howard County Addictions Center, Phoenix II High School and the Anasazi Foundation. Since June 27^th 1999 we’ve raised a total of $34,000 (includes matching funds) to help teens. The problem of addiction continues long after the last runner/walker has crossed the finish line. Damien’s Run For Recovery, now an annual event is continuing to pursue this issue with information and community cohesiveness. Can we count on you for your continued support?
