Dear Participant and Sponsor:

On June 24th, 2001 you did more than run/walk in a race. You helped teens and their families in our community that are fighting addiction and working on recovery. Thanks to you Damien’s Run For Recovery was a great success. Participants again verbalized positive comments about the commitment and generosity of the sponsors. Support like yours made it possible to begin to make a difference in the lives of teens that suffer from substance abuse. Race proceeds this year totaled $14,000. Funds will be distributed to the Columbia Addictions Center "Teens At Risk", Phoenix II High School and the scholarship program of Damien’s Recovery. Since June 27th 1999 we’ve raised approximately $50,000 (includes matching funds) to help teens. To see your contributions at work please contact Eileen Dewey at Columbia Addictions (410-730-1333) Sally Eller at Phoenix High School (301-840-7198) and Ralph Massella at Damien’s Recovery (410-340-0400).

The problem of addiction continues long after the last runner/walker has crossed the finish line. Damien’s Run, an annual event is continuing to pursue this issue providing information and building community cohesiveness. We trust we can count on you for your continued support.

Damien’s Recovery Inc. a not for profit organization is dedicated to raising awareness and helping addicts (especially teens) in our community. We accomplish this by providing assistance to programs that will inspire community support for teens and their families working towards recovery. Information and up-dates about our progress and accomplishments will be posted on our web page www.damien.tv or email damien@damien.tv or write to the address listed above.

Mark your calendar for next year on Sunday, June 23rd 2002 for Damien’s Run. We will be in touch. Congratulations! You have helped to make a difference.

Sincerely,

Ralph and Gina Massella
